Supposedly, Coyle wants to take Ireland to Bolton on loan. This would be a really good move for Ireland as Coyle's man management skills are fantastic and his no nonsense style could bring the best out of him.

If Owen Coyle cannnot get Ireland (Stephen) to play then the boy may have to start considering other career options.

Sky Sports reporting it now using the same source:
''The Editor: The Times is reporting that Stephen Ireland's proposed loan move to Newcastle is off.''

Cue series of obvious, if distasteful, jokes.

Failed medical is being reported from the Guardian too. They also noted that Sol "Enormous Shorts" Campbell successfully passed the same medical. I'm experiencing a bit of Schadenfreude at the moment.
