He trained for the first time a day before after being out with an injury since wolves game, wouldnt really call it bench warming,
You are very deluded so if you think Ireland would call trap for any game,,
I cant see how you dont understand he doesnt want to play...
I think enough teams have seen him play in the prem that he doesnt need to play in a friendly to get them to swoop should he show any dissatisfaction anyway.....
I thought ppl had finally put this issue to bed but clearly you were bidding your time for this one and prob thinking very hard too
I doubt the status of the poll still applies.
With this in mind, should it not be run again..................or would that be a bit masochistic?
i was kind of hoping this thread would stay dead and that his career would match. Both are stuttering at the moment which is good to see.

Great assist for Ireland today against Scu nthorpe
Todays Star - Page 73 - Stephen Ireland coming back?
Dont shoot the messenger. No seriously dont
The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist thinks it will change; the realist adjusts the sails.
Ireland is too good a player and will regain his place with City. He doesn't want to play for Ireland anymore so lets just let it be..
For those that didnt get to see the story in the Star it said that Steven Ireland wants to talk to Sean McCaffrey about coming back. Apartantly he has a high respect for McCaffrey so he wants his opinions on a possible return to the national squad.
Im personally not holding my breath

Its really not that complicated!!!
If he wants to come back it's Trap he should be talking to
Are these stories EVER true? I mean the only thing that would have sealed it as being 100% wrong would be a quote from his father saying he is coming back.

who cares? Hes a total pr1ck and i always said he would need us more than we need him at some stage. What will stop the little runt from throwing another strop and leaving somewhere down the line if his milk isnt poured into his tea the right way or something equally asinine. I for one am sick of hearing about him, seeing him and thinking about him. I couldnt care less and as i said now he needs us and he's come crawling back. Predictable. What a dick.

I'd be OK with him coming back but only if it's before the start of the campaign and if he goes to the training camp and plays in the May friendlies. No way should he be allowed to make a return in the first game or the middle of the of the qualifiers. He should also be told it's his last chance.
