Summer break?

What weeks do the eL summer break fall in this season?

first two weeks in july last year i think, wont know until fixtures are released whenever that is

i got an email from eircomloi.ie that said the break was the 13th of June

The break always seems to be on the week that the Kennedy Cup takes place down here in Limerick. Thats is scheduled for Monday 9th June so the 13th seems about right

I thought a two week break had already been announced for some time in June. I don't seem to be able to find that info anywhere though.

I'd imagine it will coincide with the European Championships this year

You're joking right, if Ireland and England had both qualified and actually made it to the final the geniuses in Abbotstown would still schedule a round of EL football for the same time as the match

I would say it will be the first two weeks of the European Championships.

Yes, just like they did during the World Cup, right?

I imagine the break will coincide with the early rounds again, though the quarters or so onwards may clash.

At least this means, if I'm reading the fixtures correctly, that there will be only one clash with games in UEFA 2008, for the majority of clubs anyway. Tournament starts on Saturday 7th so the quarter final on Friday 20th June seems to be the only fixture clash.
