Hmmmmn, he said Linfield were lucky in one match, not over 3 seasons.

A convenient oversight on your behalf, I'll bet, in your dick-splitting rush to post this.

The only Irish club to win a European trophy.

I think you'll find that Linfield FC's record in the competition to date makes a mockery of your, rather glib, statement.
The Englishmen came over in the year 2005
But little did they know that we'd planned a wee surprise
Sir David scored the winner, and Windsor Park went wild
And this is what we sang...

I think its a widely held opinion that linfield can compete with the LOI clubs but the rest are a considerable way behind. Im sure a future all ireland league will further prove this.

Why would you support an All Ireland league then?

Strange one. If its just a match Hammy was referring then the Setanta Final 2005 against Shelbourne we dominated and won comfortably 2-0. Blind or just jealous as ever?

The only match we got lucky in was a 1-0 victory against Cork City last year in the semi final. Cork controlled the game yet couldn't find the net. Gary Hamilton didn't mention this in his little embarrassment of an interview. Maybe he should concentrate on his own clubs dismal embarrassing downright sh*te performances before he decides to have a pop at Linfield, eh?

Tell me was your beloved Hammy p*ssed in the Westbourne again when he give this silly statement, was he still celebrating his greatest achievement in his career, a 1-0 win agianst Linfield on Boxing Day to consolidate third position in the league? Ambition doesn't get higher than THAT btw!

I agree. It will improve both sides of the border, the sooner the better in my eyes.

    How come?

You said that IL clubs, with the exception of Linfield, would get found out in an AIL.

How would that add anything to the game in the Republic Of Ireland?

Not Brazil - Would you rather play at crap grounds with no atmosphere in Armagh, Limavady, and Insuitute every other week or play in Derry, Sligo, Galway, Cork and Dublin, were the atmosphere would be alot better. Do you not think it would be better for the teams in both leagues and also the supporters. Yes it will mean more travel and expenses but worth it in the long run

Im sure in an AIL linfield, glentoran and cliftonville would be among the strongest in time.

Saying that though, Bohs, Shamrock Rovers, Galway and Cork would be the strongest IMO.

kingdomkerry is full of sh*t if it was an All Ireland League it would be between Drogs, Derry, St Pats, Bohs, Cork and Linfield as championship contenders. Shamrock Rovers, Galways etc are a bit away of this.

I wouldn't agree on the Rovers thing. All they need is the move to Tallaght IMO. Galway will be up there with the best in 5 years time (also only my opinion though).

    Sorry - I should explain.

I support the idea of an AIL "Premier" League.

Having discussed it at length with a wide variety of fans, the only thing that concerns me is that I don't see Sligo, Galway, Cork etc bringing big travelling support.

I'm not sure whether an AI "Premier" League would increase crowds.
