What I love about this thread is the sense that foot.ie is somewhat like a human right. I have never met Dahamsta and, with all respect, I don't need to but as I understand it, this is his show and if you don't like it, go and post in the any number of a hundred squillion forums elsewhere !!

I think it's fair to say that despite the fact that the thicks hate me because I'm too bossy and the pseudo intellectuals hate me because I'm an "intellectual bully", Foot.ie works and is still here 8 years later because it's actually quite middle of the road. Yes there are rules, but they're not so onerous that there's only a half dozen people here; or so lax that I have to chicken out and close the forum off to the outside world, like many forums out there.

Although I've never used it orally - so to speak - I've always thought that "asshat" is a great swear word. Nice and simple, and not really all that offensive either.

I like asshat a lot. It's a very succinct word to use to describe asshats.

I also like douche-canoe. When I first heard it I ROFL'd LOL'd and FOMCL'd.

That was some weekend you had; this thread has been going about six weeks.
