    If we're at the stage of transfers where the books have to be balanced to get the cockney I'd say we should just apologise and do without.
    Centre-back should be the priority and even if we had to wait til July it'd be worth putting that money aside.
    We're covered for full-backs in fairness.
    Apart from cover of Mulcahy, Mathews has brought exceptional quality in in the areas we could have done without it ie central midfield (GOC), up front (Mooney) and right back (Sullivan).
    GOC may go right wing but the big space beside Dan stands out as needing an injection of class.
    I feel sorry for Danny Murphy in all of this though.
    City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

    I think its either or, it would be good to have Danny as he plays really well with Kearney, and we have enough cover with CBs but we haven't replaced Benno. It would be best to sort out there first and start building that rest then.

    Either way i dont think we'll be too bad at the back this year as i think Matthews will get the best out of the defense even as it is.

    Its where we are going to start playing people in the mid and up front that i'm worried about. I dont think we have anyone to replace Leon/Roy on the wing, that kind of player anyway.

    Me neither face unless he throws Pat Sullivan there.
    The (im)balance of the squad suggests a 4-3-3 i think but even at that Flynny, Behan and mooney would all prefer to be the centre forward.
    Maybe Kearney as the 3rd forward.
    <deep breath>

    ----------------MOONEY
    --------------------------JOF
    Kearney
    -----------GOC---------Healy----->>

    ----------------Gamble

    Cockney/Hog--------------------Hoggy or PSull
    ---------Murray------Mulcahy

    ------------------ Devine

    Pending a cockney return.
    4man midfield when we need to win the ball back.
    Play Mooney off Behan when JOF is out.

    He's recovering from an operation. Will be training with the team when he's fit, and if he's good enough will be signed

    Thank you lads. I knew he was having the operation alright. I hope he signs for Cork, he is a great player, they are a great club. Do you think he would compete for a stating position?

    Has Alan O Connor from Rockmount signed for you lads? There is deffo something in the rumour, but not confirmed yet. If he does I wish him well, super player.
    The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.
