    Hiding announcements

Is there any chance that it could be made possible to hide announcements if one wishes to do so?

Surely that would defeat the purpose of announcements ?

I suppose but I've seen them once so no need to see them again.

Good point, which I think was raised before. Between sub-forums, announcements and stickys (or 'importants'), you have to scroll down a fair bit to reach the threads. I know it's not the end of the world, but maybe if these categories could be minimised by default or something.
