    Press conference to announce Matthews?

Back page of the Echo tonight
"Alan is up for a City challenge" by Spillage
Nothing much new in it cept the following
Denis O'Sullivan, Arkaga's operations director in Ireland, confirmed that a press conference would be held in Cork, possibly on Thursday, to formally introduce Matthews as the new club manager. "We want to start off on a positive footing and the sooner we make the official announcement the better. The plan is to go back pre-season at Bishopstown next Monday morning" he added.

maybe city should be aiming higher and go for someone a bit more high profile, is matthews really going to bring city on further than rico, unless he gets buckets of money i doubt it
We control by attitudes positive mental attitudes not by rules.

Well if he is in now then we'll have to give him a chance. Time will tell.

Does anyone know if he is going full time or not? Its ridiculous if he is not.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

At least he can devote all his time to it anyway.

we could get fergie, wenger or mourinho in and it won't matter a toss unless we bring 4/5 proven quality players. if we do this we'll be right up there challenging for the title. If we don't bring in proven players we'll struggle and Matthews will be back in the bank in double quick time!
    Interesting times ahead!
