To be honest I think if there is anyone good enough in the MSL then Dolan would know about him by now.
I'm not denying that there are probably some very good players in the MSL but, IMO, they are not good enough. It is an absolutly massive step up from msl to the Eircom Premier Division.

Dolan is probably looking in England because (assuming he isn't looking at some rubbish 3rd division players) they will have had some experience of playing at a reasonably high level.

Maybe we should be looking further afield, Ireland and Engand are not the be all and end all! Dolan brought Mbabzi (a Ugandan international) to Pats and he turned out to be a great player. Could he get us someone similar?
I'm sure there are plenty absolute gems on the continent who would be well within our reach. Why not look at players playing first or second division in France, Italy, Spain etc.?

Nothing wrong with looking in England. After all didn't 2 of our best players, Flynnie and Murray, come from the reserves of an English 2nd Divison side ?

Peterborough must have some side if those 2 couldn't get in the first team

Don't agree with this point, I don't think Dolan has any interest in local football.
I'd say his focus on players lies in either England or Dublin.

There are some excellent players in the MSL who I believe could do a job but the fact that the seasons are now different will mean even less chance.

Well Dolan has said that he wants Cork players first etc, but to be honest surely if there were players good enough in the MSL they'd get the chance. Look at Mulconroy for example, he was signed as one of the better players in the UCC side, and he looks ok, bu nothing like the kind of quality we really need right now. Same gps for your man David Welch who we signed from St. Mary's, he never got near the team. Also, I imagine Dolan wants to get professional players in-not too many of them in the MSL!

I know they beat Rockmount yesterday but UCC are far from the best in the MSL as are Marys.

College Corinthians walked the league by a mile and Rockmount made the final of the Intermediate Cup. These are the teams to watch.

Corinthians Czech striker Martin Kasik is wasted playing MSL.
If we do lose O'Flynn, i'd sign this guy in a flash, he's top class.

Funny this should be mentioned cos I just heard last week that a friend of a friend who plays M.S.L. was invited to train with City.Dunno if it's happened yet or what. also I heard Dolan and George were at the Garryduff U21 trials,so to say he's not interested in local football is way off the mark

Pat was also out an under 12 tournament over the weekend.
Trying to encourage local development.
That shows a considerable interest in local footie.

Look another jackeen sticking his oar in

lads the MSL (and LSL and the others) are so far below the league. Ok so you might get one or two decent fellas but overall the players most clubs will go for are young Irish players coming back from England especially considering the financial nightmare over there at the moment. Our teams can get quality young players simply because teams can't afford them rather than they don't thik they are good enough
