Ah, Tenacious D. The musical talent of your average comedian welded to the comedic talent of your average musician.

Just in case anyone here wouldn't like to miss the appearance of the best artist in the world on our shores I better tell ye that the electro maestro himself Etienne de Crécy is coming to UCD next Friday.

Of more interest, perhaps, is the appearance of B*Witched and East17 at an adjacent stage.

I'm sure anto1208 will be thrilled to hear that Lemonhead's lead singer Evan Dando is playing in Dublin in May for anyone who's interested

Tickets currently in my pocket, small crowd (only 10,000 tickets available) so it should be good, smaller crowds make for far better gigs imo.

I've never been to a gig there but I believe it's normally 10,000 - 15,000. Got my ticket on Saturday.

Nah it can hold up to 40,000 afaik, its usually closed off to around 10,000 and if tickets sell quickly they open it further.
Muse will most likely be 10,000 at most with them playig here fairly reglar the past few years.

Oh right. I think someone here posted that there were only about 10,000 tickets available for Metallica so I was kind of basing it on that.

I'll be heading to the Killers, Bloc Party and Louis XIV in August.

Mainly going for the two support acts. Killers are a nice bonus.

Must try and get to at least two of those!

What about Linkin Park/QOTSA/Coheed & Cambria. No? Just me then?

I'm afraid I must also request that they play 'Numb' (and I'd like 'Breaking The Habit' too if I was to have any say but ther ya go...).

    13 July
Oxegen Sunday - Rage Against The Machine

    20 August
    Metallica, Tenacious D

Plus I went to Korn twice in the Ambassador in January. Also kinda gutted I missed Down in the Ambassador last week, didnt have the money for a ticket plus didnt know anyone else wanting to go.

Gonna be a great summer though gig-wise, and throw in an Intertoto trip in Wales for good measure, cant imagine how broke I'll be come September and a new college year
