Went right into 6/4 but was thumped by the winner. My apologies

No I'm always a bit wary when it's their first run of the season but I'd be lying if I said if I was a big gambler anyway. I expect to lose every bet I place, that way I'm never disappointed

You can get j-league odds on paddy power I think. I'd open an online account but my Japanese bank doesn't allow it.

I fancy I could actually make a few quid off them on something as obscure as the j-league.

I should've posted this up long ago but anyone who is interested in medium-term bets, I believe that @ 9/2 (only with PP) that in the athletics section, Irish specials, Paul Hession to make the 200m final in the Olympics is great value.

I posted up in the Other sports section why I believe he will do it. I believe that realistically the odds should be around 6/4. He ran disappointingly last year in the worlds and finished 12th (only 4 places off a final place), and this year I believe he has improved enough to ease in to that 8 with his supere early season performances.

He has already come in from 10/1 so get in soon!

Dundalk vs. Monaghan tonight, Paddy Power offering Double Chance (Monaghan and the draw) @ 9-5. Not sure it's worth the outlay you'd need to turn a decent profit but those aren't bad odds considering this is the one game Monaghan seem to get themselves up for.

They're also offering 9-1 on a 0-0 scoreline. Considering the game starts 0-0 that's fairly generous...

I like the odds on Mauro Almeida to score for Sligo tomorrow. First/last goalscorer are both around 25-1 with PP and Boylesports. Assuming he's not injured or anything I think that's good value.

He's not injured. To score anytime is a good bet on him as he comes up for set pieces. Don't forget game is on telly so there will be live betting on it too.

Anyone fancy PP's 150-1 on Pat's (or indeed Olimps) to qualify on a penalty shoot-out tonight? I don't expect it to happen but for a result which only requires a one goal swing it's worth a fire-and-forget punt of a euro or so, I think.

heres an interesting bet i think:

Liverpool to win the league, with a 9 point head start, 10 to 1 with PP
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
