Yes the match was called off by the league about 5pm Friday. I was out at the pitch at 6:30pm to see for my self the "MASSIVE" amount of water on the pitch & hence the pitch being waterlogged. To my shock when I got out there.....It was really bad...there was that much water on the pitch I had to swim!!! JUST TAKING THE P*SS

The pitch was perfect. I couldn't believe that the league could call off the match. There wasn't an ounce of water on the pitch...Even the worst parts of the pitch was hard & solid..... The game should have not being called off at all....in fact the pitch was in such great condition the match could have gone ahead there & then!!!!!!! The league is a JOKE...That's 4 Longford Town match's in 6 months called off by a ref controversially
