    Which, if any, instant messaging program do you use?

    Eg. MSN, AIM, GTalk, Yahoo Chat, ICQ, Jabber?

    I use MSN for the most part, probably just because thats what most people I know use. I am also using Gtalk more frequently since Google built it into GMail; people have access to it in work and stuff much easier that way.

    I use Pidgin Instant Messenger instead of Windows Live Messenger because it connects to all of the above.

    skype has a kind of instant messenger along with the audio and video. It's the only messenger I use.

    MSN.....everyone is on msn, the rest are useless, i have skype aswell, but thats just to talk to one girl who doesnt have MSN

    you can add ppl who use yahoo on MSN aswelll so its the best option really

    MSN is bloody eating my resources on start up and i can't get rid of it. anyone know how this can be done

    uninstall msn, install pidgin, set pidgin to log inyo msn. voila!

    I use MSN and I use that every day. I also have Yahoo Messenger loaded which I rarely use.

    MSN ...though I do find annoying the way it gobbles resources, muscles into my startup and basically renders my machine useless for 15-20 minutes after i hit the start button.
