Watch out for low flying planes!

Very quiet area, 30 minute walk to Pto Del Carmen.
The small shopping centre in Matagorda itself has a few bars and restaurants (Not great to be honest). Auld Triangle Irish bar run by a Pats fan.

Sol Lanzarote itself can be a mixed bag. some staff are obnoxiously ignorant (mainly bar and waiting staff but some on reception) while others do go out of their way to help. Make sure you have a sea facing room otherwise it's the bins and car park view
