Kerry (she honestly informs me) lays claim to Ballyheigue. And the beautiful rock pools, big waves, and sand castles that go with it, of course.

A mate of mine who lived in Athlone often got a taxi to Tullamore instead of downtown Athlone for a night on the sauce.

Ex Athlone Town and Galway United defender Kevin Williamson is from Tullamore. I think he went on to join the Mighty Mons. Also, ex Galway United, Shamrock Rovers and Waterford United striker Stephen Grant is from Offaly before he quit to take up modelling
    Not exactly noteworthy is it?

The only thing I have ever seen in Co. Offaly, is farms, and also where the railway line splits Ireland's Southbound/Westbound train network at Portarlington.

Scraping bottom of barrel I know, but it was a struggle to even scrape it.

You can't spell Offaly without spelling 'offal'. Don't forget that.

Apologies Kingdom. I meant Ballyvaughan. Banna Strand in Ballyheigue, Co. Kerry is spectacular alright.

That's showing ya how bad it is so! Enniskillen is the only good thing there.
