    2007 TV coverage breakdown by clubs and TV station

    For the 2007 a total of 57 games involving League of Ireland clubs were shown live on TV. These included 33 League of Ireland games (32 premier, 1 first division), 10 Setanta Cup games, 7 FAI cup games, 4 friendlies with British opposition, 2 C Champions League qualifiers and 1 League Cup game.

    Each premier Division club was featured at least three times with Drogheda, St Pats and Cork featured a total of 15 times each.

    The total breakdown by clubs is as follows

    The League cup game shown was the Final in the Brandywell between Derry and Bohs.

    Derry's home and away fixtures v Fc Pyunik were shown on RTE 2

    St Pats v Spurs was shown on Setanta Sports while Sunderland's games with Bohs, Cork and Galway were shown on TG4 and Setanta Sports.

    The breakdown by TV station is as follows (Setanta Sports Ireland and Setanta UK are treated as one)

    Here's to it increasing next season as well

    Would be interesting to see what clubs attracted the most viewers

    The first division game shown was at Finn Park, not in Athlone. Big boost for clubs to see that all premier clubs were on TV at least 3 times in the year. That's serious progress, and a real help in terms of getting sponsors on board.

    Changed it now. Don't want Genesis using it wrongly or anything. The sponsorship thing can't be underestimated...
