Yeah is was pretty pathetic all right, Kenny is a bumbling Idiot. the Toy Show was like watching Bray & UCD play out a nil all draw on a cold wet day in the carlisle ...........Dull and Lifeless

In the 60's, 70's and at least a decent proportion of the 80's - it was no exaggeration to say that the Late Late Show used to serve a unique purpose in Irish Society.

It dealt with issues that many families didn't discuss. It was a forum for certain taboo subjects to be tackled. Therefore it had a bizarre format which veered from light entertainment, to a serious social issue, to a human interest story and back to light entertainment again.

As the dynamics of Irish Society has changed quite dramatically in comparison to even 20 years ago - the quite bizarre purpose the show fulfilled is defunct.

Its long passed its sell by date and struggles to attract even z-list celebrities.

That pathetic skating item sums its up really.

they wouldnt take a friend of mine who they approached in the first place to be on the show as the subject matter was deemed too graphic..... now what he has to tell is not in the slightest way graphic but it proves the show is too afraid to take risks anymore
