Monaghan United manager Mick Cooke is delighted to have signed ex Monaghan United player Robbie Collins. Collins is a pacy striker who helped Dublin City gain promotion after his last stint at United and will be a welcome addition to the strong United squad that Mick Cooke has been working to put together.

United are bolstered further by the signing of Brian Gartland from Shelbourne and the centre half gives Mick even more options to choose from. These signings follow hot on the heals of United’s luring of James Hand back to Kingspan Century Park and give an indication of the level of ambition at the club.

Mick is currently in discussion with several other players and further signings will be announce in the coming weeks.

Monaghan United’s squad is shaping up well in advance of the new season and pre-season training is due to start on the 19th January to ensure that no time is wasted in getting the team fit and ready for the March kick off.

United’s squad so far: Danny Woods, Brendan Kennedy, Paul Whelan, Aaron Mooney, Kevin Williamson, James Hand, Brian Gartland, Dom Tierney, Darren Meenan, Wayne Byrne, Robbie Collins.
