just read on close season transfers el forum tht dave warren is leaving utd to sign for ramblers
i for one dont want him back, we were not good enough last year for him not we are, please dont make us go down this road of filling up with mercenaries in place of the lads who really got us where we are

i despise the man for leaving us..... but if he can committ and prove he can play as good as ever maybe even for less wages than he was on before ill welcome him back no doubt hes is a talented footballer.....

but we have to give him a hard time to let him know he has to prove himself

thnk the reason he left us in the first place is because he was asked to take a pay cut every season and he didnt think it was fair.
He would make a good squad player at the right price

Thought he did a great job for Waterford on the two occasions I saw him this season.

Whose place would he potentially take?? Debatable whether his presence would improve the first XI.

he has the pace to really make us better up front, if he drops into midfield we will lose that solid platform which the team uses to build up play.he is not a tackler and dont think he has work ethic of barrett/kearney/mucky

well we need cover and as rams07 said at the right price he would be great.. no transfer fee we know he is a good player and is very experienced.. great competition for all the midfielders and strikers.. we are short on bodies we need players of quality..

warren was dropped wages every year which is unfair and i think it serves him right that he got relagated and his teamates got league winners medals...

dont want him, he scored a double hat-trick there once, thats his rep, he didnt even get 6 goals his last season with rams, so hes no good up front, and he has nowhere near the presence of mucky, kearney and barret, hes was deadwood he held players back, when him and the other wtaerford ramblers left, the very talented young players stood up to be counted, and they were,

    some very true points there....

but with that attitude we'll sign nobody... we need to sign locally based players... at the furthest an hours drive away no dublin, limerick,l waterford based players the travel will catch up with them. warren is local he has talent and is a free agent lets face it i think we will lose at least on player over the close season and thats brings our squad of quality players down too 14 or 15....

ya but they left us for money reasons, and now we have money again there trying to crawl back, there are other options rather than former players id say,

Hes a good player but I don't think he suits the new style of football Ramblers play.
I'd sign him as a squad player. He'd be a good option from the bench but I don't see him getting in the 1st eleven every week.

Think Warren would be a good signing,he wasnt a bad player when he went to Waterford and now he`s had a season in the premier he should be better, sharper and stronger.

One half of me would be delighted to see him back, on the other hand it would be unfair on some of the young players who helped us up, but I suppose Hendo can't be too sentimental when it comes to signing or releasing players because keeping us in the premier next season is all that matters.

this is what i think, he wanted more money off ramblers and left when he didnt get it, what makes him think he's worth more than the players who stayed and got us promoted. deadwood as far as im concerned, scored a few goals but not up to the standard, the players we have are better.

since him and breen left we have a better team, we saw who the grafters and loyal ones were. theres no point in spending for spending sake, we need quality, 15 goal a season man.
