    Mobile Phones

    Lads, if i buy a mobile phone in England from Carphone Warehouse, can i use it back here?
    The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

    yes but you will pay roaming charges. Or else buy a sim pack here and stick it in.

    If it's a contract phone then not unless you get it unlocked, as PAURO suggests. A SIM-free phone will work anywhere though, assuming you have a SIM to put in it.

    Actually not all the sim free phones work with some networks here. I have bought phones in the north before and gotten them unblocked but sometimes you lose some of the capabilities of the phone.

    I'm not going to say definitely for fear of getting my head kicked in because you picked the one phone that doesn't. But I'd very surprised indeed if you had a problem.

    Last Christmas I got my son (my sister got the same one) a Sony Ericsson W300i (on meteor) for €169 they are now €99 and a great phone. Flip phone with MP3 player, good camera etc.

    I'm fairly sure it'll work. Can't see why it wouldn't really.
