    Man Utd vs Roma

Has anybody noticed the crowd noise is totally out of sync for setanta's coverage. I did a little investigating and worked out that its the crowd noise from the RANGERS GAME.How embarrassing?

Young team performing very well i must say.
Pique and Evans looks good at the back. Great goal by Pique too. Bad Defending by Roma, there was a queue behind Pique for the goal.
United look good, passing wise and Rooney looks energetic and commited as a captain.

IT SEEMS THERE WERE 5 UNITED FANS STABBED B4 THE GAME. DISGRACE

Utd fans are, of course, angels. Isnt it horrible how those nasty guys in every bloody town they go to pick on them?

    Rome is a lovely place.

Gavin rides in on his horse of righteousness again I see

Rome is lovely, Roma fans are known for carrying knives and stabbing away supporters in the ass with them, hence if you are going to insist on being an away fan, in Rome, for a meaningless game then you should know to watch out for scumbags carrying knives. Back in your I have an opinion on everything hole now Gav

A minority of them are, yes, which makes fighting them a rather stupid thing to do and hopefully the United fans that were arrested will see the inside of an Italian cell, its the only way to solve the problem of the english hangers-on creating havoc everywhere they go. Of course, sweeping statements like "Roma fans are known for carrying knives" is a trap you should probably be avoiding.

How dare I, in General Discussions, discuss something! I hadnt realised this had amalgamated into "Football Feeds".

And there he rides off on said horse of righteousness, having once again made no contribution whatsoever, bar to disagree with someone, a hearthy round of applause for Gavin everyone!

By the way, saying Roma fans are known for carrying knives is not the same as saying All Roma fans are known to carry knives. Just so you can put that on the list of things you were wrong about Gav, like me saying Utd fans are Angels, there's a good lad now

    *sigh*

you're incapable of admitting error (or seeing it, which would be more worrying) so, while you were the one to first try to end this "discussion" with your "back in your box" routine, I will indeed be the one to "ride off on my horse", reaffirmed as to why I post here so little.

And my night's work is complete

*Edit, again stabbed by Roma fans, isn't the same as saying stabbed by every Roma fan. The United fans who were stabbed by fans of Roma or Roma fans, are indeed scumbags, and it is what they do. There's another one for your list Gav, good God that list is looking long these days. I'm incapable of seeing wrong, as there is no wrong to see. Read over my posts again there good Sir and then we'll see if you are capable of practicing what you preach and admitting wrong

Wes Brown seems to inspire bad football. I mean he comes on for half an hour and within 5 minutes the fella he supposed to be marking scores. I think he should keep stalling on his contract and never sign one for Man Utd again. He seems like a Newcastle player to me!
As for Louis Saha flog him in January while ya still can. Hes a disaster. I really hate the player he's become. Laziest player United have had in quite a while. By the way...Is there some clause in his contract that says he doesn't have to tackle? He tackled Danny Simpson and won the ball but nearly gave Roma a goal in doing so.
Possible swap with Benzema at Lyon?????
Can someone please tell me when Nani shows hes worth his transfer fee?
Hes another waste of space. He can't even take a corner. Useless.

I think I should reconsider my "sane" bracelet for lowering myself to this but anyway...

    You said:

You are telling the readers not to travel to Rome, because that will save you from being stabbed by Roma fans (I'd have suggested that not being in the tiny minority of Man United "fans" getting involved with the tiny minority of Roma "fans" involved in this). You didn't say a damn thing about United fans being scumbags, and every single part of the sentence was generalised. And then you snap at me for warning against generalisations? I know its christmas and the shops are busy but dont take your work home!

I'm incapable of seeing wrong, as there is no wrong to see.
are you quoting from creationists just to get a rise out of me?

Says he who is testy. Anyway, my original sentence of Don't travel to Rome is the answer to not getting stabbed by Roma fans, they're scum, it's what they do, is the common sense answer to United fans who will complain about the Roma support who attacked. My reasoning is that United fans should know that there is an element, that they will stab you, and that common sense should dictate that if you want to be 100% sure of not getting into trouble then don't travel to Rome for said meaningless game. Afterwards you waded in with your Rome tourist pamphlet, your common sense Brits abroad agenda, and your Dummies Guide to Psychotherapy, and now I have to explain the origins and nature of the to some Cobh fan, and you're the one wondering why you bother posting here?

Oh I'm soaking up as much from the ramblers as possible in an attempt to generate some sort of dislike for them having spent last season cheering them on

You should've rode off on your horse of humour after that piercing witty remark, leaving Gav's horse of righteousness bloodied and panting in your wake.

Wes brown is one of those players that almost everybody thinks he's no good. fact is, hes a very solid defender, and has been fantastic so far this season playing out of position at right back. i think he'd be a big loss to united if he leaves! hopefully something can be agreed very soon. that goal tonight wasn't his fault.

and as for saying Nani cant take corners....who crossed the ball for the goal?
who took the corner when vidic scored against everton, and ronaldo against blackburn? forgetting his goals against middlesbrough and totteham aswell? im not saying he has re-paid his transfer fee yet, but it'd be nearly impossible for him to have done, he's only started about 2 games in the last 6 weeks!

I know where youre coming from with Saha, but theres still a bit of class about him. his control is class.

Usually handy to conjure a metaphor alright. Evocative and easy to understand, even for brain dead city folk usually.

What do you use? Some new-fangled city-slicker contraption like traffic lights or cars?
