    Turkish soldiers enter Iraq

    Turkish soldiers enter north iraq

Precursor to full on invasion of Kurdish north Iraq or limited response? No doubt the US would have put pressure on Turkey to resist.

This thread is a real indicator as to how much people care about that shell of a country anymore

I doubt many people are in a position to comment on Turkish-Kurdish relations, but there's a real weariness of the coverage of Iraq.

I see the McCanns were trotted out again today. Went online to check if that meant there was more going on in the middle east, my hunch was right.

Australia and Britain are pulling out, the US is flooding the place with more troops, large areas of the country are simply bandit land, the Turks have invaded the north, and 86% of Basra people miss the Saddam years. 2007 has been the worst year yet for coalition casualties in Iraq. Murdoch with his army of news on tv and print must be grateful this christmas, because if anyone gained from the little girl's disappearance, it was them; clearly, the British public could not have stomached the real news this year.
