The video was posted on the YouTube website earlier this week but removed within 20 minutes.
The romp took place in a Co Antrim Hotel bathroom in the past fortnight.
The "roasting" video was shown to the Irish Football Association by the News of the World and officials confirmed they are investigating.
At present the players allegedly involved cannot be identified for legal reasons.
This is the first sex video scandal to rock the Irish Football Association though several Premiership clubs have been caught up in similar controversies.
