I realise the thread is about heroes, rather than great players, but your post reads as almost a "who's who" of the greatest Irish players ever. I did realise you hadn't included him, my post was a casual way to inquire, given his performances for Ireland, why he wasn't there, if you felt like humouring me. You clearly didn't feel like humouring me.

Actually, substitute Frank O'Neill for Paulo di Canio. Probably my all time favourite player. Never failed to beat the full back. Just stood on the terraces at Milltown in awe as Frank would show the fullback the ball and then beat him like clock work.
