Would love a shot at managing against Italy you'd hope.

    1991-1996 Italy
    1996-1997 AC Milan
    1998-1999 Atletico Madrid
    2001 Parma

he hasn't won much - one league and two european cups, and reached a world cup final.

he knows all about ireland from 1994

Is this based on something or just a name you plucked from your head?

He probably would have won more if he had stayed at AC for the Berlusconi revolution but instead he left for the top job when that AC side were on the verge of going on to greater things.

    obviously

its based on what manager are available and what managers other international associations with more ambition than our own are going for.

the only candidates we discuss are those that are presented by the media. the ones who's have agents hawking them round. there good candidates out there that havent been mentioned at all

Has he said he'd be interested in the job, or is it just another possible candidate in the vein of other recent threads here?

    Arrigo down at heel.

Personally, I think he's a shoo(e) in for the job.

Although he is obviously an outstanding candidate I have two issues with him:
    1. Would he want it (But the FAI should definitely be approaching him to see if he'd be interested)?
    2. He hasn't had a top managerial post in quite some time.

I would personally still favour Hodgson over him for the second reason. But he's still a far better candidate than the likes of Souness and (especially) Venables.

Eekers, I'm of the opinion that you should be on the selection committee...thinking outside the circle is whats needed.

Feckin Hodgson is desperately trying to climb into the circle, but is being ignored

Never mind whether you were taking the p!ss by saying he hasn't won much, I hope you're taking the p!ss by saying one game 13 years ago would give anyone any idea of what an opponent is all about...
