    Georgie Boy

Lads according to a very good source i.e one of his best friends Geoorge O'Callaghan is on his way to Shel$ next season or possibly sooner. He swore the deal is already done and that he will be on 1,400 a week up from the 800 he is on a week here.
This is not a wind up he swore black and blue he was telling the truth.

I'd like to hear that .....

I'd like to hear that from the club first.

can someone confirm this with Brian Lennox ??

Are City commited to keeping good players and winning the league at some stage ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

He was supposed to be going to Shels another time there aswell and that was bullst!t as was the story about him going to Longford.
As usual folks I'd say it is fairly safe to assume that George is going nowhere.

Well on the other hand since Ollie would cost money maybe they are lining up George for Ollie,Maybe why Dolan is trying out Behan so quick....

Makes sense since hes putting Billy Woods left back !!!!!!!!!!

    Rumours eh?

    thats very true,

but surely we need a better striker up front wit flynnie, im not saying behan isnt that good but would it be too much to put him in there now,wat happens if he hasnt scored in a few games and the crowd get on his back, hes only 20 i think?

would flynnie score as many goals without georgie up front wit him???

wat kinda reception wud olli€ get if he came back?

I think it's fairly safe to assume that Dolan is no fool.
So why would he sell a player that can play as only Georgie can and hand one of our biggest assets to a rival club?
    If it's true that
(a)Cahill is coming back, it's because he is surplus to requirements, and
(b)Kirby is coming, it's probably because Longford want the money.
George is needed at City, an automatic first teamer and what club is going to pay City the money he is worth?
So, on top of the fact that George has repeatedly stated that he is a Cork City player and wants to stay that way, Mr. O'Callaghan is going nowhere unless some unbelieveable set of circumstances happen.

We'll be singing George O'Callaghan, tra la la la la for a long time yet !

There could be an awful lot of truth in this rumour because George hasn't even got his contract sorted yet while all or most of the team have theirs done and dusted in the close season.
I know for a fact that Dolan rates O Callaghan highly but Gunther is in charge of all that stuff now.
I think Yan is right Flynny wouldnt score 1/2 as many goals without Georgie remember the pats match [yes i know its painful but im trying to prove a point] when he was suspended O Flynn had little or no chances.
Everybody has a different opinion on George but he's a valuable mamber of the team and if we want to win the league player like O Callaghan,O Flynn,Devine,Murray,Doyle etc. will have to stick around
