According to the Scots Bari was a great town, looks a bit like Aarhus, student town small poppulation, no hotels, but a great place and a great result!

we were thinking of the boat to cherbourg and then all the way down...lmao

then looked up ryanair to bari but seems its booked out.

could anyone recommend anything else? closest airport to bari?

i was going to try stay in a hostel if i end up going.

Swiss air to rome and alitalia down to bari seems like the best and cheapest option. all in for flights i got it 260 return.

Anyone returning on the flight from Bari - Bolognia - Stansted is screwed now as well by Ryanair as they have cancelled the one to Bolognia on the Thurs morning.

Nothing on the Ryanair website about it and you can still book the flights on the Ryanair website and also I have not received a mail about it either so not sure where it came from that it was cancelled.

I think its the London to Bologna bit that is cancelled having done a bit of research on it.

Prominent Tour Operator Cancels Bari Trip

One of the so called soccer tour operators has cancelled thier trip to Bari. Only got 16 bookings, while they have not officially informed people it is no longer advertised on their website and probably wont be in their Sunday World adverts tomorrow!

Anyone concerned PM for name of company.

    ryanair do it again

had flights booked dublin-lon stn-rome on tuesday 31/03/09.just happened to check status of flights, and time of lon to rome flight has changed,so will miss connection.didn't receive an email from ryanair yet so contacted a mate who works for them,he said emails should be sent in next few days! will get a refund for flight thats changed so rebooked direct flight to rome.it works out about the same price. will cancel dub-lon flight and battle for refund with ryanair! so word of warning for anyone who booked flights early with our friends in ryanair, check to see if they've rode us again!

I rang the FAI earlier today about this and they said that they were still waiting on the Italian FA to confirm the price of the tickets but there should be something sent out in the post very shortly. They also said that they would be able to cater for all applicants with about 5,000 travelling.
