(not as bad as 7 hours on the train from bologna that 6 of us are facing!)By the way am i right in thinking match tickets will be no bother at all?..

    Hard to know yet.

We have to get a minimum of 6,000 tickets. This might not be enough. However there were 20,000 empty seats at Italy v Scotland in Bari 2 years ago so worst case no problems in the home end. I really can't see this game coming close to a sellout.

The Italians may well give us what we require as well which seems the most sensible thing all round.

Best thing to do for tickets is to contact the FAI ticket office by e-mail or phone and ask them to send you an application form for tickets. The application form will be sent out about 3-4 weeks before the match and you must submit it by the due date.

Well the Scots have managed to obtain 8,000 tickets out of 51,000 for their match in Holland. The FAI should have no problems getting more tickets for this game if they bothered their ass

Your comment re the FAI shows you have absoloutely no ideas of the work the FAI do in looking after travelling fans.

As Already stated we will be arriving for our confirmed booking, if you have any issues we suggest you take it up with bookings.com

If this is not resolved we will also be writing to the Italian Embassy, the Italian Tourist Board and logging our problem on all web travel advice sites

This is not the treatment one expects from a 4 star hotel

The same buachaill Gaetano has been trying to pawn me off to the Hotel Victor. I've escalated the whole mess to Accor (I booked directly via www.accor.com ). Hope you have a bit more luck via bookings.com

Colleague of mine has been bumped from Hotel Victor to some hotel 35 kms out of town. Told them to complain to hoteltravel.com as they were originally booked in Victor as it was central. Happening to a lot of people, seems to be the sneaky italiano hotel sales people

    PS Local Tour operator helped out with hotel queries, if anyone stuck for accomodation;

    email Alex - info@adpugliam.com

Hes spinning some yarn about computer problems which is hard to believe if you booked directly through Accor.

Funny you should say that Green Tribe as my mate has been given a hotel 35kms out of town also after he was bumped from the Victor . He was booked in the Victor for six nights and now he has 3 different hotels to stay in during that time . What a mess .

which they always do for our away fans. 19,000 official away end tickets for paris '04 is proof of that

No , highly unlikely, unenforcable and ignored by fans/police/bar owners alike

Think this has to be reciprocated for the return at Hampden although it is less of an issue.

No probs at Croke Park to reciprocate may be an issue if all of Lansdowne was to be BB bar the away allocation.

I read on a tartan army forum that there was a ban in place from 2pm on the day of their game in 2007. It was enforced for about half an hour.

Anyone flying Ryanair STN to Bari on the Monday evening.

I got an email about a schedule change, offering a refund etc but I can't see any difference between the original information and the new one

    Original

TINERARY/RECEIPT - All times are local.

    GOING OUT

From London Stansted (STN) to Bari (BRI)
Mon, 30Mar09 Flight FR1905 Depart STN at 17:15 and arrive BRI at 21:05

    Email indicates

Your new flight details are as follows:
    GOING OUT
    From London Stansted(STN) to Bari(BRI)
Mon, 30/03/2009 Flight 1905 Depart STN at 1715 and arrive BRI at 2105

    Anyone else get this?
Tifo poles, sausage rolls and a few goals.
