Anybody know much about Bari? Never ventured that far south when in Italia. I'll try and merge this trip into a holiday and go see Florence and maybe Naples.
For those flying Ryanair they will already be in Bergamo
For those flying Aer Lingus on the morning flight they will be in Linate
Linate to Malpensa 42 miles, Linate to Bergamo 33 miles
Bergamo to Malpensa is 58 miles.
Linate is only 6 miles from Milan, while Malpensa is next nearest at 31 and Bergamo is 35 miles.
Bergamo is a major Ryanair hub with daily flights to 6 other Italian cities. Likewise Easyjet fly into 6 different cities from Malpensa.
Unfortunately for us booked into Linate, which is like London City, there are no internal Italian flights with low fare airlines from here.

Have been to Bari a few times, it's a fairly nice place. There isn't a huge amount to do there but it's got an old castle if you're into that and there are some decent beaches nearby. Lecce (about 90mins to the south) is a nicer town to look at. Also there is a big port there where you can get boats to Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and some Greek Island, also Turkey too. Avoid driving there if you can, traffic is a total nightmare and there are tonnes of lorries from Turkey, Iran, Egypt when some of the cargo ferries come in - it's not unusual to be stuck in traffic near the port for hours...
You can do it on the train from Naples, Rome (just), Pescara or Lecce... Milan would be an expensive and long train ride.
The stadium is actually pretty decent, it was used in the World Cup and also for the Red Star - Marseille European Cup final in the early 1990s.
Just listening to today fm sports news at 12 and it said Bari is confirmed as the venue.
Why are people who "need no introduction" always introduced?
Still no confirmation anywhere but surely Today Fm wouldnt announce unless they were sure, would be very embarassing otherwise. They couldnt have picked a more awkward venue for us really. Think the numbers travelling will be alot less now, wont have so many one trippers interested in a wed night in Bari.
Naples is 200 miles from Bari, Rome 209, so train is an option from either of these cities. Easy jet fly to Naples from London. Id imagine Aer Lingus or maybe Ryanair will organise a charter and charge a ridiculous price per seat.
Booked 125 euro flights to Bologna ages ago, connecting flight to Bari only 42 return. happy days.....I think!
Booked to Brindisi. Pretty near. Fly in Tuesday. Better be there, now!![]()
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!

It is being carried on a few other Italian media sites as well(Punto sport etc)
