Plamen Markov will be appointed coach of Bulgaria�s national football team, Focus News Agency found out.
He has agreed with President of the Bulgarian Football Union Borislav Mihaylov on the terms and conditions of his contract. Markov�s task will be to train the team for the upcoming qualifiers for the World Championship in South Africa in 2010.
The option to appoint British Terry Venables has dropped.
It is expected Markov�s appointment will be officially endorsed at the Union�s next session in mid-January.

Yeah, but unfortunately, as more and more jobs are filled, it becomes increasingly likely that Venables will be appointed Ireland boss.

yeah its kinda like my first job after college. was put on a panel and offered the thing 9 months after i did the interview.

Venables was England manager for 24 games. 21 of them were at home. He still has the same win success rate as Graham Taylor who played 23 of his 38 games outside of England. Home advantage is huge and kind of discredits Venable's England record imo.

Also... 0(Zero) Qualifiers and just 2 competitive wins out of 5 at home(excluding the win on penalties in 1996).
