Nah; I've seen him play, and he hasn't a fraction of the pace O'Brien does. He'll never amount to anything.

Speaking of Alan O Brien he is not getting his game at Hibs. Being very frustrated with him so far this season taught he would thrieve in the SPL

So did his manager. Still time for him to make an impact there though. He hasn't been helped by a number of niggly injuries either.

I can't wait to see his return for Newcastle. On his day, when he's fit and healthy, he's the most exciting winger in the Premiership. It will be interesting to see how he looks when he comes back, even if he's a shell of his former self he'll be miles better than any of our other players.

He hasn't had "his day" in a long time but I agree, a fit Duff is important to us.

Its gonna take duffer a long time to get back, id imagine he's going to have a few niggling injuries along the way. Hopefully with a reasonably clear run and plenty of matches he'll be back to his best by the start of next season.

uff was devastated by foot injury
    Thursday, 29 November 2007 17:19

Newcastle midfielder Damien Duff has admitted he broke down after being told he was the first footballer to suffer the injury which might have ended his career.

The 28-year-old is back in training after recovering from a dislocation in his foot suffered at Portsmouth in April.

However, the Republic of Ireland international has revealed his shock when his surgeon told him what had happened.

Duff told the club's official website, www.nufc.co.uk: 'It was devastating.

'You should have seen me when I first found out in the surgeon's office, I broke down in tears. It was a dislocation in the middle of my foot, and the surgeon said he had never seen it on a footballer before, and that was a shock.

'It was an horrendous injury. I was the only footballer to ever get it. It's a case of taking things one day at a time because I have had my foot up all summer.

'We will be looking at a couple of reserve games first, but hopefully it will not be too long before I am back.'

Can't wait until he's back in an Ireland jersey. Don't forget he set up pretty much all our goals in this campaign until he got injured.
