    Longie-gent

Was talking to a Dublin taxi driver last night and the conversation turned to football. I was telling him that I'm a City fan and his face lit up, he said he knew Philip Long very well. Like me, Longy lives in Carrigaline (well I used to) and my brother used to say the same thing as this taximan, ie that Longie is a total gentleman, the guy's face really lit up when he was talking about him.

    Fair play to ya Phil!

I used to work part-time for the company that Longie used to work for and I can honestly say that he was a true gentleman.

I even played in the same team as him in an inter-firm tournament and the guy was just a class player, and that was even near the end of his days.

Where in Drumcondra are u living? I'm living in Marino

Just near the Regency, across the road from Whitehall.
