    Books on the EL

i'm just finishing a book by Eammon Sweeney on his life and Sligo rovers, it is an amazing read and i think all EL supporters should get their hands on it.
there is more than just football, there is drink, family life, social change, the irish abroad. all from the point of a Sligo rovers supporter, it was bril

its called "theres only one red army"

if anyone knows any other books on the El ( not just football facts ) then let me know.
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

Apart from club histories,''The Strings of my Harps'' is a cracking good read. It's by former Finn Harps manager Patsy McGowan whose a bit of a charachter to say the least.
EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny

Yep, I got Only One Red Army there on the cheap as well.
Even though I despise Scumgo Rangers I have to admit
it's a very very good book.

Mate of mine from Lifford is getting me a loan of Strings Of
My Harp so hopefully I'll get a read of that soon

Football books in general though, Id highly recommend
A Season With Verona - Tim Parks
Couldnt put the book down once Id started.

I started Barca by Jimmy Burns but only got through about
a quarter of it. Got bored reading it but I must finish it off!

Read Keanes book and it was more of an appreciation to Brian
Clough and Alex Ferguson than an autobiography.

Quinns book is worth a read, as I think Macy said before its a bit
"goodie 2 shoes", but worth a read all the same

Paul Lamberts autobiography is Ok too

Actually I think I added that its sometimes that sickly sweet it'd make you puke.....

'a season with verona' is excellent
'barca' is tough going but it is worth it, really interesting from a historical point of view going back to the spanish civil war.
anyone know if 'strings of my harp' is still in print or where i could get a copy?
