    Thumbs up local talent.

This seasons crop of under 16s who will next year form the bulk of the Towns youth side are an exceptional bunch.
Comprising of most of the Willow Park Boys squad with the best of St Josephs and St Francis there are quite a few who will make the grade at senior level.
Willow 16s were just beaten 1-0 by national cup finalists Mervue who havent lost a game at cup or league in 2 years.
With the right guidance and coaching these guys should be a formidable squad who can pull us back into premiership status.
The u/16 final is set for saturday 24th at 5pm in willow park.
come along and see the town stars of the future.

    cheersball:

The u/16 final has been brought forward to 4pm .
Next season sees the start of a national youth league where the top youth sides in the country will have to apply.

Athlone should have no problem as they already are playing in the ddsl premier division.

    cheers

according to our web site it was the midland league, a national yourth league would be a great idea, somthing along the lines of the u21 set up i hope. it would really begin to raise the level of socer in this countr from an early age
