Very true, Cobh isn't that big a place that it can afford or field 3 adult teams. Still if it's a price to pay.....

It shouldn't be that much of a stretch. If you have a first team squad of 22-24, only 11 will be starting every week, freeing up the rest to play for the reserve side. Plus you field the best of the under 20s to fill the team and give them experience against older players. I presume the FAI in their infinite wisdom will set fixtures so that they don't clash (a big presumption I know) e.g. first team play Friday night, reserves play Saturday and under 20 play Sunday.

Who says the A Championship team has to be any good? We could build a team around Wanderers and Springers players if we want.
LESS OF THE BULL NOW!
So, what's a stated? Why is it under the rules? It's like we're not using the same language here.
It does seem like the A Championship will be a bit of a financial burden, though it'll probably get sorted out in a couple of years as clubs get used to budgeting for it. I suspect some clubs will try to fill them out with amateurs next year. Are there any restrictions on the quality of player involved here? For instance, could you get a random bunch of fans to play for your A Championship team?! Also, does anyone know if the U20s squad can play in the A Championship at all?
You can't spell failure without FAI
when did i say a stated? stop your bickering i simply left out a single letter in my first post sorry for not being as intellectually accomplished as yourself.
as for the A team who from springers and wanders would want to go up to dublin every few weeks to get hammered off the park? when they could play for their own clubs and stay within a 25 mile radius of their hometown and still go on the batter the weekend of a game?
the idea of fans is a good one, how could the FAI stop teams from fielding 40 year olds or fans for the first few years just to get on their feet?
This years youth team could play in the u20 league and this years u21 could become the Achampionship side for next season.
I'd assume most clubs do.

This A league should be taken very seriously (keeping in mind expenses would have to be kept to an absolute minimum) the only solution is to have Tom the Gom as manager and the players could be signed from Jack Doyles or the Rob Roy etc.. the away games would be pure class!!!!
how about making a team from (where-else but) foot.ie....
"history is good but it only emphasises recent failure"
