Sligo Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of Romauld Boco, a Benin international, recently returned from representing his country at the African Nations Cup in Ghana. Rovers manager, Paul Cook was delighted with the news.

“Romauld is central midfielder / striker – I didn’t think I’d get him, I thought that he’d be out of our reach but, thankfully we’ve secured him. I don’t want to put pressure on him, but I’m certain that the fans will see that he is the real deal and with the other signings that we’ve made, I believe that we’re in for a very exciting season.

“I’d like to put on record my thanks to the committee. They’ve really shown that they are determined to bring the kind of players in that will bring this club forward.,” he concluded.

Great signing. I'd say cookie is a lot more positive now because it seemed that he really wanted to get him

lads if you look at it we have a good squad of players. We have a few versatile players. We have 2 players for evry position apart from a centre half and a striker. If we could sign a player for those 2 positions we would be in very good shape for the new season. I think with a bit of luck we could do very well this season

I hope he does the business for you and hope you have a Great Season

I will follow your Season with interest as I am sure will a few other Stanley fans

Maybe we could perhaps look at starting up fan bases for both teams on each side of the Sea?

Couldn't find anywhere online to buy their jersey. As for the flag, it was bought last night

Would be a good trip, I know a few people in the "DSC" might have there arms bent to go over for a game.

Cook might recommend a pub or two we could check out if we went over!
