Thats great news. He was a massive player for us. Good defender. Also, scored the winning goal in at least 3 games. Very valuable player.

Whats the latest on Mark Doninger? It'd be nice to have an attack minded centre mid for a change and he seems to fit that description.

i'm hoping we sign him..living in Newcastle at the minute, asked someone in work whos seen him play in the reserves at Newcastle, remembers him as a box to box midfielder, said he didnt understand why they let him go last season, he reckons with relegation last season newcastle cut costs and hughton thinks at 21 if your not in the first time squad that no use in keeping him,.. apparantly alot of players let go at newcastle end up at blyth spartans

i hear that doninger has impressed greatly at training. hope we can afford to sign him. if we get out & sell the e20 tickets for the first 2 games we will have some chance of relieving the financial pressure. it is essential that we build up a fund to get the season started or else we will be in trouble in a few months time.i am not posting here just to create a panic situation but the club has no money (it has more or less a clean sheet) to give it a bit of a breathing space for the start of the season that is why we need to sell the e20 ticket . so all those who have taken the tickets at the forum & agm please ensure that they are sold and if anybody else is looking for some to sell give me a call 087 2388215 michael clancy. i'm sure yee all know me by now( i made my debut a few seasons back!)

Meanwhile, Benin international Romuald Boco is currently training with the Reds but any possible deal looks unlikely to take place in time for the clash against the Imps.

it is essential we get the season off to a good start. The crowds are there if the team produces the goods and revenue flows in. You have only to look at the last few games of last season when the crowds flowed in , even on Tuesday nights.
