That would be great news - gives confidence to players negotiating current contracts and potential signings!!!

Completely unrelated I know but. Sean Connor has signed Darren Mansaram for the Lillywhites. He's exactly the sort of player we're missing.

Plus Brush, Ryan, Butler and Ventre. Others possibly, that's all I know/can think of now.
Probably a bit late in replying to this but I think Cashie is signed up for next season aswell according to the champion.

So would this be fairly accurate

    Players for next season:
    Richard Brush
    Seamie Coleman
    Gavin Peers
    Chris Butler
    Danny Ventre
    Sean Doherty
    Rafael Cretaro
    Richie Ryan
    Brian Cash
    Romould Boco.

I presume O' Grady and Curran will sign new contracts aswell.

But he did confirm that first team squad members, Seamus Sharkey and David McDaid, would both be released on loan to other eircom League clubs for next season. Sharkey, a young centre-half, will join Sligo Rovers for the 2009 campaign while striker, McDaid, who spent last season at the Showgrounds, will join Paul Hegarty at Finn Harps.

I thought done really well when he came in and was a major factor in us getting into Europe as he gave the team a lot of shape.

I agree. He isn't spectacular but he doesn't give the ball away and that's needed as the same couldn't be said for O'Grady, for all his qualities.

Richie done well when he came in. Prefer to see him in the midfield with his passing ability. Any word on how Chris is coming along?

O Grady and Mauro are considering contracts, dont know about McTiernan, Curran, Feeney. Cook is possibly looking to see if he gets any better players than them over pre-season, and if not, then offer them new deals

I'd say feeney will stay seeing as he's the U-20 manager. I would definatly keep Curran for another season he improving all the time.

Yes, given our geographical location I don't think we should be quick to dump the Sligo players from the squad. Curran might not be a world beater in midfield but he's a Sligo lad and we won't easily convince some Dubliner to take his place on the bench.

Anybody hear any more rumors? Somebody was telling me about fresh rumors about Cawley may be coming. Also heard the Parkhouse deal may not go through now as well.

Last I seen was a short article about Alan Cawley's transfer rumour in the weekender. Seen him in town last week but I reckon he might only be back home for the christmas.

Have we been linked with any other strikers apart from parkhouse ?

well i have cousin who is a scout at reading and according to him, birmingham want coleman and will buy him in the next few weeks if he agrees of course. also he thinks he is good enough to make it and would buy him for reading but they have too many right backs. while i do not want to see him go but if the price is right then, we have to think about the money.we need it for more players for europa liga. finally heres hope we got at least 100000 and get a sell on clause in the contract.
