For curran to go on loan for 6 months or so might do him the world of good. Have a feeling cooke doesnt rate him because he wont give him a run of games and that what he badly needs.
Very true. It would probably do him good to get some consistent, competitive games under his belt. The problem I find with Curran, apart from the Finn Harps game when he played great, is that the midfield tends to get over-run when he's in there. He just doesn't, as yet, have the same presence there as O'Grady, Ventre or Ryan.

Heard Curran has signed for Longford.

Other interesting news doing the rounds this week concerns former winger, Owen Morrison and ex-Finn Harps striker, Stephen Parkhouse, both players believed to have signed for Sligo Rovers this week.

Paddy Power, the club's main sponsor, have already opened a book on who will succeed McDonnell. Former Cork boss Alan Mathews leads the betting at 2/1 with Drogheda United's Paul Doolin available at 9/2. Other names listed include Pat Scully, Damien Richardson and Sligo Rovers boss Paul Cook.

St Pats are going partime so can't see Cook been interested reckon they will end up with Matthews or Brian Kerr. Not sure whats happening at Bohs yet but if they go belly up also the league could be an option this year if we get off to a good start as we will have a stable squad plus a few new signings , I am surpsied we haven't been looking at any of the Drogheda players Hughes would be a good signing.

Are Hughes and Faz not playing in some country that I can't spell?.
Yeah Curran has signed. Confirmed on www.ltfc.ie.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Cannot remember when I saw such a turnover of managers, looks like only about a third of the 10 Premiership teams will start the season with the same manager as last season. For our sake I hope Cooke is firmly on board with us for the season coming up
As I stated in the Chris Turner Thread...........For our sake I hope Cooke is firmly on board with us for the season coming up
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
It's Cook
It has no reference to a loan move? Is that permanent? I for one would love to see it as a 6month loan deal and have him back for Setanta Cup in August which would give Cookemore options with the tighter shedule of games. It would mean we could finally assess Curran if he was playing week in week out as well.
I don't know what kind of a deal it is to be honest just was told he'd signed, if it's a loan deal I'd say it's a season long one.

says on the harps forum we have signed parkhouse and he's on 850euro a week.
If we've given him 850 per week then the club are crazy and can't come begging for money ever again.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
In all fairness lads you would hardly count on a figure that was posted on a internet forum as gospel !
