I pleased for him. He's on loan to them. When he was on loan at Stockport last month, some fans didn't think much of him. And that loan was cut short aswell.

    League One

Joe Royle returns to Oldham Ath. and takes over from John Sheridan.

^ yeah I don't know what going on at Oldham, Sheridan was doing well, he had an iffy March but overall I think he'd gone a great job. There were reports of some fighting at team night out and he might have been involved so maybe its more down to that rather than the results.

Yes, nothing worse than conceding late goals. Does a fan's head in. Remember Ireland in Israel.

Mick's Wolves well beaten by 10 man Birmingham last night. Horrendous tackle by Carsley saw him sent off - not sure it was intentional but looked awful in slow motion. Wolves looked quite ordinary at times with their top front players missing. No great impression made by any of the Irish on show. Alas, I don't think Andy Keogh is going to make the grade.

Agree with all said Birdy.....though I am convinced Carsley meant to "do him" (although obviously not seriously).....dreadful challenge!

Big game tonight......no not that Champions League sh1te.....Watford home to the poor ol' Saints...should be 3 points to the Hornets and guaranteed safety....Southampton may already be down before kick-off if the League deducts 10 points today ( as they surely must ) as a result of the parent Company going in to administration last week.

Nice to see Mick Mc defending Carsley:

"I have to say I know Lee and I don't think for one minute he'd try to do that," McCarthy told BBC.

So assuming Soton and Charlton (2 Premiership sides only a short time ago) visit the first Division, who will be the other side? Delia's Norwich? Must be rubbish if they lost at home last game to Wednesday or Forest?

If Barnsley get 3 points from their 2 games in hand (admittedley tough tonight at the "Best" Sheffield team tonight) they should be OK....I will go for Norwich to survive as they are 10 goals better off than Forest

if Forest can beat Bristol City at home on Saturday then they should be safe. Anything less than 3 points and they're on a slippery slope. Saturday is a must win.

ANother last minute equaliser conceded. Sorry for your troubles, Horny. Still, I think Watford are safe. It's Soton's parent company which has gone in to admin so doubt if there will be a points deduction.

Ah, Luton Town. 25 years ago were in the top flight. Who will ever forget that wally, David Pleat in the beige suit, skipping across the playing pitch at Maine Road when they avoided relegation on the last day at the expense of City:

Wednesday lose again, having been 2 up well in to the second half. Beginning to look over my shoulder again.

Well done to Wolves. Worried that Reading have really stumbled recently. Need to regain their form for the play offs.

    19 Plymouth 44 7 5 10 30 33 6 6 10 13 22 -12 50
    20 Nottm Forest 44 7 7 8 24 27 5 6 11 22 36 -17 49
    21 Barnsley 43 8 6 8 27 23 4 5 12 14 32 -14 47

    -------------------------------------------------

    22 Norwich 43 9 5 8 35 26 3 5 13 18 35 -8 46
    23 Southampton 44 4 9 9 21 27 6 5 11 22 37 -21 44
    24 Charlton 43 5 7 9 27 34 2 7 13 19 35 -23 35

Charlton gone. Saints look set to follow them. Barnsley perhaps the other one. Delia is sweating in to her muffins at the moment.

In the past ten years, afaik, all those five were in the Premiership. Pretty big drop for them.

True, but only Forest can be classified as a big club from among them. The rest flattered to deceive to be in the Premiership.

Among the flatterers in the Premiership at the moment are Wigan, 'Boro, Fulham, Hull and Stoke.

Ya Forest would definitely be the ones that look to be underachieving from that list. I've a buddy in Derby and they get some support as well, slightly above that list but thought they deserved a mention. Norwich weren't far off winning it though in 92/93 and who'll ever forget Jeremy Goss in Munich...as well as giving the Kop something to remember!!!

Garvan doesn't seem to be starting with the same regulaity for Ipswich these days, is it lack of form or what?

Was going to post about Jim Magilton being sacked by Ipswich but now I hear Keane has been appointed manager. Ipswich are under performers and I expect them to do well if money is coming in. Wonder how he'll get on with the new executive chairman as well. Simon Clegg, the former chief executive of the British Olympic Association, has been named as the new chief executive of Ipswich Town. The 49-year-old oversaw Team GB's record-breaking medals haul in Beijing after 12 years in charge. Clegg, a former Paratrooper officer, was invited to take the job by Ipswich majority shareholder Marcus Evans.

And it's also farewell to Ninian Park which is being demolished. The pope visited there in the 1980s I think.

forest classified as a big club .. why because of old past history
when was the last time they were in the preimership or even challanging for promotion

Presume he means fan base as much as history. I would have always considered Forest a big club, rightly or wrongly.
