Sorry to see him go. Thought he had another season in him at least. In the first couple of months of last season he was the best player in the division at a canter. Which in itself is telling I think. Maybe he's just frustrated with the injuries and the amount of time he's likely to spend in a treatment room rather than on the pitch.

Leeds aren't Fizzy League quality lads, last weekend proved that, so take it elsewhere

From a Wednesday point of view I am glad Leeds didn't get promoted. One less powerful club in the Championship next year. Should be an interesting year with no apparent favourite for promotion unlike the season just gone where WBA were always a dead cert.

As John Wayne once said. "that'll be the day" but hope springs eternal (the money - not Shearer)..

Guess who's top of the Championship Won't last of course but at least it's better than losing the 1st 6 in a row like last season.

From the Top of the Championship to the lower half in one game . If they had to be stuffed by anyone, at least it was Mick's Wolves.

I was impressed by Watford's change in type of football.Charlton were very poor and a more deserved result would have been 3-0 ( which coincidently was the same score as my betting slip!)

Did you see the Watford vs Ipswich game? Good game and John Joe O'Toole looked very promising when he came on. Not great at the post match interviews though .

Nice to see Wolves doing well (their win over the Owls aside). Open Championship although I expect Birmingham will win it.

Yeah I was at the game. Until JJ came on we looked v.poor.He as come on strong the last couple of games, after being shunned by Boothroyd for returning lardy after the Summer break, having got too big for his boots!

He has learnt his lesson and certainly seems the better for it.

Good to see him win the "Bad Hair" competition with Ivan Campo

Were you at the game? Pi** poor crowd of 17k. Watford were a bogey team. Hadn't beaten them for quite a while so surprised and delighted with the 3 pts. Getting a nose bleed now Wednesday are so high up the table but with the next two games away to Norwich and Reading that won't last long.

Wednesday concede 6, 5 scored by Irishmen. Still progress though. 8 more points than at the same stage last year (lost all opening 6 games last season).

Wolves win again (Keogh scored) and Warnock verbally abusing the referee at the end - plus ca change.

Watford losing at home. Must be worrying times at Vicarage Road.

I see Sheffield Wed even lose out to the fans in court.

    Price of Free Speech

    Court judgement

I just love how a fans rant is explained in plain court English, especially the napoleon complex.

(vi)The next posting was by a user called "Auckland Owl". It read, so far as relevant:

"If I were Brian Laws I'd walk away from it before the season starts. I wonder how long it took, after getting the job, before he thought to himself "What the absolute fook (sic) have I let myself in for?" The club's best players being given away, endless broken promises and the chairman with the most acute Napoleon complex *allegedly* that I've personally ever seen."
Mr Eardley submitted that this meant that the second Claimant was guilty of mismanagement by getting rid of players, making promises and breaking them, and being an egotist driven by an inferiority complex about his height.

Hornet, I didn't see the "goal" in the Reading vs Watford game. According to Noel Hunt it was "the worst decision" he's ever seen.
