I formally apologise, on behalf of our Club, to my Owl friends here....what I witnessed last night was the single worst performance I have seen in over 40 years ( yes I am "that old" )

As I have said on here before, I sincerely hope Watford do not get promoted as the would be a greater embarrassment than Derby!...in fact West Brom aside ( and even they will struggle unless they invest heavily ) ANY of the Championship sides would be lucky to get close to a double figure points tally in the Premier League!

Was really disappointed with last night's result needless to say (almost as much as you I'd say). It is so topsy turvy at the bottom. Don't turn your back on promotion. You can't pick and choose when to be promoted. Embrace it with open arms if it comes your way.

Biggest match for Wednesday in a few years coming soon: Leicester vs Owls. The proverbial 6 pointer.

How I hate watching Wednesday play. Spent most of the evening swearing at the players. Mother-in-law chose to phone my wife just as Plymouth scored without a Wednesday player having touched the ball. I let out a scream of "F***!!" which I believe was heard on the other end of the phone. It was a must win game but I was thankful to scrape a draw in the end.

4 points cover the 7 teams scrapping to avoid that final relegation spot. Far more interesting that anything going on in the Premiership. Going to the last game at Hillsboro against Norwich. It will be decided there.

    OwlsFan,

Me and two other Owls are heading over to the Norwich game too, maybe we could meet for a nervous beer before the game.
We could have trouble finding a place to stay in Sheff though, as the snooker final is on that weekend

Bringing my wife and her two young nephews so unlikely to be able to meet for a beer but thanks for the offer.

We're booked to stay in Manchester and travel to and back from the game by train.

Disasterous results all round today. Wednesday might even be releated before the last game is played. Away to Leicester next and then home to Norwich.

It's looking very serious now alright OwlsFan.

You'd expect Southampton to get nothing at West Brom next week though. Might be relying on the Blades to do us a favour on the last day. I've completely given up trying to predict our results.

It'll be heart attack stuff in Sheffield on the last day...

(provided, of course, that we're not already down)

Don't think we'll be down by last day of the season but it really does look like it's between us and Southampton now. I still think we can take at least a point off Leicester away and beat Norwich at home, and I think that would keep us in the division

    We are officially champions!

We haven't played really well for a while (and didn't today) because of the nerves but we're definitely worthy winners of the league. Roll on the Championship!

Many people's eyes were on Chelsea vs Man U. That was only the appetizer as far as I was concerned for the big match: Leicester vs Wednesday in the proverbial six pointer at the bottom of the Championship. I sat in front of Sky Sports and Jeff Stelling for the afternoon and helplessly awaited my fate.

It started badly. An early goal down and all the other relegation rivals winning as well. That sinking feeling known to most Wednesday supporters. Wait, news from the Walker Stadium! A penalty to the Owls. It's missed. Oh my God. Burton, you utter idiot. Then miracles of miracles. An equaliser in the 45th minute and the lead early in the second half . The game had started 5 minutes late and it's going to be still going on when all of the other games are over. Not being able to watch the game but just the captions showing goals coming in is excruciating. They go for the odd report and we are told Leicester are bombarding the Wednesday goal. Famous for their 90th minute concession of goals I fear the worst. My heart races.

All the other results are coming in. Just Wednesday's is awaited. Jeff Stelling exclaims in dramatic tones: "There's been a development at the Walker Stadium that can change the whole picture at the bottom". "Fu******kkkk" I yell at the tv but up comes the commentator with the caption 1-3. Unbelievable. Raptures.

In a nutshell, that's why we love football.

Can still throw it away but in Wednesday's own very unsafe hands now. Oh yeah, Chelsea beat Man U.

How important could that result turn out to be.

I was tuned in to Radio Sheffied for (completely unbiased) commentary. The obligatory early goal conceded and I had a rotten feeling. The missed penalty, oh god, now feeling a bit sick.
The worst thing was that the commentators, who normally try to give any sort of positive spin that they can, were even more dejected than they had been during the Blackpool game last week. The words "clueless", "disorganised" and "another mistake" were used alot and I'm thinking, well I hope Leeds and Forest dont come up because they'd be 2 good games to go over for next season.

Then very late in the first half we scrambled away another of the all too frequent Leicester attack and seconds later it was up the other end and in the net. Life in the old dog yet?

Second half we sounded much more lively and within 9 or 10 minutes were ahead. Nervous times in my living room until the unlikely hero Clarke in plenty of space (offside??) calmly lobbed the outrushing keeper. I leap up off the couch - laptop goes sailing through the air; **** I better catch that... duly caught and placed carefully on coffee table - and start leaping around.

Given ourselves a fighting chance of beating the drop with a result on Sunday. Should be a big crowd too, can't wait...

The final game against Norwich is a sell out !! There will be more at the game than watched Chelsea vs Liverpool last night. I hadn't ordered my tickets until yesterday and find it is sold out. So I rang Norwich and we are in among Delia Smith's supporters.

I look forward to the game with dread (if that isn't a contradiction in terms). I can see Leicester getting a draw at Stoke and Southampton winning their last game which means Wednesday must at least get a draw. It will be a tense afternoon.

Jebus was last seen withdrawing a €50 note from a cash machine in shannon airport before boarding a flight to Vegas...

Blades fan for a day then Jebus!

I'd say Leicester myself, given they're away to Premiership-chasing Stoke.

Apologies. I'll get onto my goons to call off the search now. If any dodgy looking character threateningly approaches you just explain the misunderstanding. Use simple English though, they're foreign, and a little thick.

Thanks. Not looking forward to it sitting among the Canaries fans but beggars and all that.....

Looks like one of the big 3 (Leicester, Wednesday and Southampton) to go down.
