Sorry, I hate when people get this wrong, and sorry to go off topic, but it's actually OK to use 'euros', Pedantic Pat.

As the bit in bold clearly shows he's perfectly entitled to use the word 'euros', and is entitled to do so by the EU itself. So there. Fact. End of.
