Does that include your long running grudge against Pat Devlin or is that different?

A grudge implies that it is in the past. Devlin still has his fingers in many pies.

:/ what? You "bear a grudge" against someone because of some perceived wrong action of somebody in the past. I've had lots of people say they dislike me, very few say "I grudge you."

er... yeah. Thats what I said: His (our) disliking of Devlin is not a grudge. Grudge carries negative connotations implying that its often merely personal and that since its in the past you should move on. And as I said, Devlin still has his fingers in many pies; it isnt a grudge, its just an intense disliking of his actions.

So what happens when he retires?

Will you still dislike him then? Will it be a grudge or not??

I'll still dislike his actions. And his whiskey-red nose. Is that a grudge? Regardless, its one thing for an irrational football fan to bear a grudge against a rival manager, quite another for a football association to bear one against a club.

    Where's your evidence?

Aren't there two teams in a cup final?

jesus, people arent even reading threads anymore. I never said the FAI had a grudge against any club, A Face speculated it as a consequence of our clubs' actions. It was your cork-hating chum who starting banging on.

The thing is, there is no room for grudges in this game as there are so many obstacles there already. If everyone adopts a professional attitude and gets on with the job (god knows there loads of work to do) them we might actually see progress, if not then ..... well, you all know the rest.

It was actually in reading your last post that I got I got the feeling you felt the FAI had a grudge against Cork. Here is what you said:

    Cork-hating chum?

I honestly don't know who Superhoops is. AFAIK, I've never meet him at any Bray matches.

And he was actually questioning A face's dislike of Devlin, he never mentioned Cork. Maybe you should read over the thread again.

    ... i was referring to a face's hypothetical consequences.
If you want someone to list you a series of "RRS" incidents, make a thread, or just search for those magic three letters.

I took "Cork-hating" from his location. Rather than say bray, he says "Not Cork, thank god". That kind of special attention just makes us feel warm and fuzzy

I didn't mention RRS. You just did. Clearly you feel there is a link between a football association begrudging another club and RRS.
