Question GAA on the way down

Apparently the GAA need as much as 38,000 people in croke Park to break even opening it.

Think they only got 17k & 25k for the 2 league final days over the bank holiday weekend also.

I admire the GAA in providing a proper stadium for their sport but is Croker going to be a noose around their necks? Me thinks they have also have missed the boat & getting tht IRFU & FAI to use the stadium.

    Championship

pfff.....Gaelic Football, game for bad hurlers and wannabe goalkeepers.

At the tripple header at Croker they got 17,000 not too bad, except they gave away 11,000 free tickets to primary school children.
    Oh no not them again

Well Conor since you clearly have no idea of what the score was at all I'll tell you. It turns out that Limerick in fact are far superior to Cork and accordingly they won the game comfortably by 0-16 to 0-6.

The ball is round and has many surprises.

    Fingers crossed.

They don't get near to filling it for any game not involving Dublin so they can't be making too much off it.

It appears that the some of the profits gained from the big matches will be reduced by the losses for the smaller games.

A lot of GAA appeal is probably in the few championship matches every year so debatable if increasing the number of games will hold the same attraction.
