Has any one else noticed how extra thick those Ramblers seem to be lately? I know its a fairly stupid point, but read anything Ramsie or any of those other fools have to say here or on the Ramblers board and you'll know what I mean. They cant even spell guard or quarter. 3 of them in a row spelt sense with a C and called traitors as traders.

I hope theyre taking the p!ss or there be an abundance of janitors in Queenstown for the next 20 years.

Is it not a bit stupid to slag someone over their spelling when you can't use an apostrophe yourself?

Jesus, lighten up. If you read the post you'll see it was only a joke anyway and I assume you have not visited any Ramblers posts or you would actually agree. And Schumi, there's a big difference between leaving out an apostrophe and the stuff these guys are trying to spell.

i think theres a reall let down on th internet's side that when people write theyre mood can't be properly put across.
i mean you might have thought that Soko was really having a huge go at ramblers fans but he was probably havin a laugh.
i mean what if he said that down the pub?

I would have to agree with SOKO and his post is just trying to put a bit of humour into this site. Seriously Adam and Schumi, lighten up. The 1950 s went out the door way back.

To be honest, I'd be more concerned about the $hite these idiots talk than the illiterate way they say it. I just think it's pretty petty to point it out (we can all see it after all) and pretty stupid to make grammatical mistakes in the post where you slag his spelling.

Better just make sure that there aren't any mistakes in this post.

I didn't create this site for yoof to use as a playpen, and I have no interest in watching them throw their crayons at each other. If ramsie and Soko want to play, they can use the private messaging system like everyone else. If they don't, they'll be banned, period.

i dont care that some posts are gramatically wrong or not Schumi. Your missing the point. It was only a bit of banter. Sorry adam, i was just wondering, could you define what this site is for so. I know its football based but are there to be no slagging sessions allowed. And i dont think its quite fair to ban me , which is exactly what you will think about when you read this. I know its your website but theres no need to lash out the control thing

Is it not obvious to you? Does the football in the logo not give you a hint? Does the name and domain name of the site not ring any bells? (Try taking the dot out, see how you get on with that.)

When other people laugh, it's slagging; when other people get annoyed, it's disruptive. We provide a private messaging system free of charge for people to communicate with very little restriction and no monitoring. If people are starting to get annoyed with a one-to-one conversation, it's not time to start complaining, it's time to take it to PM.

Yes, this is my website but I try to represent the community wherever possible. I set the site up originally as an alternative to unmoderated forums, and maybe I'm wrong in this, but I tend to take the view that the majority of active users keep coming back because moderated forums are what they want. That's why there's control, and although I concede I've been a little heavy-handed in the past, I reckon I'm pretty even-handed now.

Mindless bickering is one of the no-no's here because if we allow it, everybody'll do it and we'll be back to square one. We provide two alternatives to people who want to bicker anyway: They can take it to PM, or they can p1ss off. I don't care either way.

Maybe you should have taken a leaf out of your own book so and used private messaging. After all that is what you are saying. I am obviously annoying you and that is one of the no-nos of this board. I am not trying to get in a long drawn argument here. Just trying to point out the rules that you are preaching , you just ignored. Its sad that you dont even abide by your own rules regarding private messaging. Do you see my point????

I do see your point, and it's incorrect. My response to you is informational, and useful in that the next time someone start shouting Set My People Free!, I can simply point them to this thread. And Tom, dear boy, you're not annoying me in the least. I've been modding and adminning boards for years now, I've met every time of user there is.
