Hi lads, we have just been drawn against Dungarvan FC in the Junior Cup, are they in the top junior division in Waterford, are they a good team?

What kind of football do they play? Are there any websites showing league tables and stats for their league?

they are a mid table team.they are a footballing team like to play it down the channels to their very fast striker.they are not good travellers but tough at home to beat .their pitch is big and wide and level.not much height in there team and as i said they are a footballing team and dont really like the phyiscal side of game.they have a good centre half who scores alot of goals for them.

Thought the match was down to be played in the County Town Castlebar, as ur pitch unplayable.

Mork Calling Orsin, come in Orsin!

Did you see the draw? It was drawn as an away tie!

Even if it was a home tie how can you predict that our pitch is unplayable two weeks before the match?

We dont need the Met Office, why the hell do we have one when we have you "Mystic Meg".......

    Waterford Junior League 2007/08

I find it very difficult to get results from the different games in junior league. I am playing second division in waterford. There are a few club websites but they are not updated at all. it might be a good idea if a few of us could post results and things up here. If there is already a thread somewhere for this you can happily send me in the right direction.

Would you not Contact the Junior League & ask them to put results up here, Im sure they would have the majority if not all the results by the Tuesday of each week

Maybe they might start a website & all this information could be posted from there

I might do that. i find soccerbot a very good website for football results. They even have the floodlit soccer league covered here in waterford. Reults, league tables, goal scorers etc. are all updated on a nightly basis. i contacted them in relation to covering junior league and they told me its up to the junior league to contact them. For now i think ill just have to wait for the newspaper each wednesday.

well Sylar - I run one of the clubs websites in the WDJL.

I have software to keep all the tables up to date but its very difficult to get scores from the JL. Ive tried the papers too but to no avail.

Aertel seems to be the best bet for now.(when its updated)

yeh i find that aertel is good at times, although lately, with only a handful of games going ahead because of bad weather, aertel seems to be a couple weeks behind. its just frustrating when you know other teams are playing and you have to wait 4 or 5 days to hear about a result. Maybe im just not patient enough

    waterford jl

it is an utter joke of a league , when you cant see updated league
tables on a fortnightly basis , at least!!!
we were going for the league last year , with 2 or 3 games left we didnt know the situation ????or neither did the team who won it in the end ( they thought they won it after their 2nd last match and celebrated that night , even though we could still catch them !)
this is the biggest turn off for players in junior soccer in waterford.. !!

Like BlobbyBlob I run the club website. I pusposely designed it with a database to allow anyone who wanted an account to be able to add their clubs fixtures and results with the tables being automatically generated. As usual though I was left to do it all myself, and given the lack of readily available results from the league I just gave up.

My aim was that if one person from each club signed up for an account we could keep the tables up to date ourselves since the league show no interest in setting up a site. I was in discussion with some of the previous committee about it but when they left it fell through.

If anyones interested I can still set up accounts for them... sites blank at the mo though (www.piltownafc.ie)
