Presume you mean 7, which would leave 5 players.

    Dreadful.

In 2002 the largest attendance that year was the game between England and Ireland in Boston Lincs 400, Ireland V Scotland in Kettering was 220 and Ireland V Wales in Boston 300

They appear to be similar in years 2002/04/05 and 06.

There were about 200 for an interleague game in terryland 7 or 8 years ago against the Irish leagues finest. It was close enough to a full strength eircom league side as well.

Tickets all sold. Huge demand to sit in uncovered temporary seats in the RDS in December.

    Good Friday agreement anyone....?

That's a different situation. Higgins played for Northern Ireland U-21s but didn't declare that he was switching allegiance to the Republic before he turned 21.

What about the below line frOm that article though. Is it just RTE getting the story wrong ? :

*edit just noticed there the first poster in this thread didnt even have him in the squad, unbelievable!!!
havn't seen much of o'brien tbh, but coleman has been very good this season. he's only just turned 19 last month and has already appeared for the under 21's. i think he deserves a start, of course i may be bias, but i honestly think he's been the best this season at right back.

I thought OBrien was overage as his date of birth must be wrong where I looked

OBrien is a super full back, and your right one of Rovers players of the season

Coleman is a very good full back also - but not on the same level as OBrien yet

You seem to be a bit of a **** but I actually agree with you on this.

There are 3 games in the space of a year - by that time I'd say half the squad will no longer play in the league.
Why are the games not in the space of 2 or 3 weeks?
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Even if they are still in the league they wont be eligible...like Behan who only makes it by 2 days this year

Jeez lads - if the players want to have these games, then what harm ??

For most, if not all, it'll be the highest level of Irish cap they'll ever receive !

Too much moaning. Let's just let those who get selected and want to play enjoy the experience and pick-up a few caps for their collection.

Get to Bray early and buy a programme. First 50 to buy a programme gets a free ticket to U-23 match.
