    More Points Than Last Season

Congrats to Sligo Rovers for getting more points this season than last. With Sean Connor raiding the squad, it is impressive that the club is able to finish stronger than a year ago in total points.

Certainly a good amount of credit goes to Cooke but I think the MC must also be credited for waiting to get the right man on the job.

One thing that bothers me about Cooke is he appears to be failing to motivate his team when his own future looks uncertain, much like Sean Connor quit on the team once Bohs interest became apparent last year. If he allows the team to play uninspired football because he's out the door, that is a poor reflection on him in my opinion. I personally think you should perform for your employer with 100% effort as long as you are taking that employer's money.

I think the lion's share of the credit has to go to the players who stayed with Sligo Rovers and didn't follow Connor.

They didn't follow Connor because they weren't asked to.
