That's us safe as well, so. That'll do!

They're not safe yet, not having to go to Waterford next week.

On current form it looks as though Waterford will face a trip to either Cobh or Harps, would be a nice derby in munster but that would mean harps won the league so il say no more on that!

The fight is definitely not over at the bottom yet, although we're in a better position now we still have to play 2 teams below us so there'll be no sighs of relief until we're mathematically safe.

There was me thinking that United's groundsman didn't think it would be fair on Waterford for Galway to be playing Derry's U21 team, and so tinkered with the lights so we'd have to beat the full injury free Derry side in a week or two. Thank **** someone talked him out of it!

Your sure of at least a playoff but Waterford sure of nothing yet. If Longford get 6 points off Bohs and Derry they need 4 off Galway and Shams. If they get 4 Waterford need 2. If they get 3 Waterford need 1. Nothing certain yet.

If Longford get 6 I think Bray need 2 if i'm right about their goal difference. Drogs away on the night they get the trophy in front of their home crowd. They would then have to beat Sligo.

Don't rule out Longford beating Bohs and Derry especially if they win on Sunday.

In fairness T i think Pineapple Stu is out on his own on alot of those views, from reading their forum aswell.

Any rational UCD fan knows they're not safe yet.

Very nervous after tonight, Was very confident earlier in the week but didn't know Derry had loads of players injured. Not inconceivable that we'll get 0 points and Galway 6 but if we play our best we have 3 points in Terryland.

    Wouldn't say that.

We've actually won 3 out of our last 5 games in Terryland now.....with one draw and a loss.

It depends really. If we're safe there'll only be around 2000 there and it will be a pretty mundane game, unless ye have to win it.
But if we need a point there'll be 3000+ there with a huge vocal contingent and the home advantage would probably be a big aid in getting us that point.

Can't see us losing though-Cousins needs results to keep his job.

    Touche.

To be honest i'd be surprised if either team ended up in the playoff now....but both of us are by no means 100% safe, despite Stu's overwhelming confidence.

Fair dues to Cork, players and fans. You were brilliant.
Great rendition of De Banks: had me consoling my kids by reminding them that their great granddad was a Corkie.

GUFCT, Do you honestly think if they'd won they wouldn't be on here in droves slagging? Anyway, out of retirement for one post just to thank a couple of Cork buddies for making me feel welcome supporting them tonight in our old Hoops shed. Great craic. Once again Cork proved their still the best footballing side in the league by a mile, unlike the 'hoof it up to Mansaram' tactics employed by the small club. Btw Bohs fans, most of us were under the impression the disgrace that is the initials on the back of the jersies would be taken off?
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.
